Doug Moore leads the trust and brokerage operations for Landmark Bank.

Doug joined the bank in June 2008 with over 23 years of experience. Throughout his career he has held numerous positions in investment and trust management.

In his 16 years as a Columbia resident he has been very active in the community, serving as president of the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts, district commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America and past president of Rainbow House.

Jay Thompson possesses over 29 years of banking experience. He assists both personal and business customers with investment management, trust needs, retirement plans, estate planning and asset management.

Jay is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. He is also involved in many charities, such as Wednesday's Child Benefit Corporation.

Jay has been involved in the Columbia banking community for the last 15 years. He has had a variety of responsibilities during that time, primarily in commercial banking. His role with Landmark Bank is in relationship development and sales.

Jay holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and an MBA from William Woods University. In addition, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Graduate School of Banking.

He is involved with a number of civic and charitable organizations including Ronald McDonald House, Rotary South and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
Nick Thurwanger

Nick is responsible for the development and implementation of the trust department's investment policy and investment strategy in conjunction with the investment committee. He has over 6 years of experience in wealth and portfolio management working primarily with families, foundations and corporations.

Nick graduated from Iowa State University with an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Business. He has also received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Jo has over 17 years of experience in the trust services industry. Her primary role with Landmark Bank is assisting customers with wealth management, estate planning techniques, and tax and fiduciary strategies. 

Jo holds an B.A. in Business Administration-Management from Northeast Missouri State University and has graduated from both the National Trust School and National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University.

In the community, Jo is a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Mid-Missouri Estate Planning Council, and volunteers for American Cancer Society. In 2005, she was named one of Columbia’s “40 under 40” and has been spotlighted in the "People You Should Know" column by the Columbia Business Times.
Megan Schawo

Megan provides administrative services to customers with trust, investment management and retirement accounts. She also oversees retirement services provided by the department. She was hired in May 2002 in trust operations and shortly thereafter became a Trust Officer. 

Megan holds an MBA from Columbia College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. 

In the community, Megan has served on the Boone County Relay for Life Steering Committee, the Blue Ridge Elementary Title I Committee and as a Loaned Executive on the United Way campaign. She is currently active in a variety of fund raising efforts for the American Heart Association and the Ronald McDonald House.

Chris Brown

Chris has been a member of our Trust Operations staff for 3 years. Along with her experience in the department, Chris has earned a certification in Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management. She currently leads our operations area and manages our compliance and risk management functions.

Prior to her career at Landmark Bank, she worked and volunteered in several nonprofit organizations at the staff and board level. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management.
